Jardins de Tete Montoliu is located in the neighborhood of Sant Antoni, and a coin factory removed to create today’s Jardin. The charge was to improve the Jardin, which the team came to the conclusion suffered most from not having a proper shape and being under programed. Originally the team focused most on creating pockets of program throughout the site to pull life to the underused piece of garden furthest from the entrances, and to better accommodate how users were currently occupying the garden. This led to an early design which read as a series of instances instead of a consistent intervention. The team outlined a new goal of linking all the jewels (new program) in the Jardin with a necklace, what the team called a liner. A structure which served out to each program, while improving the garden shape.
